OVERVIEW
Calendula, commonly known as marigold or pot marigold, is native to Mediterranean countries. It was used since antiquity in topical ointments and washes for wounds and ulcers. The flower petals are dried and then can be infused in a carrier oil to make the traditional herbal oil.

Calendula Flowers are reputed to have anti-inflammatory and astringent properties and can be used in infusions, extracts, and ointments to help speed the healing of burns, bruises, cuts, and minor infections. Calendula Flowers can also be used in soap manufacturing and potpourris.
