All of my Anarres products are handmade using high quality stainless steel and glass lab ware, and sterilization is done with 100 proof vodka instead of denatured alcohol or isopropyl alcohol, which are toxic. With a diploma in Aromacosmetology and Aromatology, you can be confident that I am not buying premixed cream or lotions, adding an ingredient just because everyone else does, or just because it smells nice.

I do not test on animals or use ingredients that are tested on animals. All of my products are vegan with the exception of the occasional use of beeswax and honey, ethically and locally sourced through Karma Food Cooperative www.karmacoop.org .

Anarres products will never be adulterated or preserved with harmful chemicals such as MDM/DMDM Hydantoin, Sodium Laurl/Laureth Suphate (SLS/SLES) or parabens. I am registering my products with the Environmental Working Group's Skin Deep database, www.cosmeticsdatabase.com There are many natural, healthy preservatives such as myrrh essential oil, which is antbacterial, antiviral and anti fungal. Grapefruit Seed Extract 60/40 (Citricidal) is reputed to be an effective broad spectrum anti-microbial properties. Vitamin E MT50 Full Spectrum contains antioxidant properties and will delay rancidity when added to formulations. The only reason that other producers use harmful ingredients is because these are inexpensive and increase profits at the expense of your health.

All of my ingredients are 100% pure and natural, of therapeutic grade and free from any chemicals or pesticides. Although all of my products are of premium quality, not all of the oils are certified organics. I carry an Organic line of Essential Oils and Carrier Oils that are accompanied by authentic certificates of organic production under strict supervision by internationally recognized certifying bodies. My primary supplier is in the process of acquiring its own Certification as an Organic Processing Facility and it remains committed to supplying true organics at reasonable prices.

My suppliers source ingredients using ethical suppliers. Both my Shea and Cocoa Butter are Fair Trade Compliant. This means that profits go back to the community, that environmentally friendly production methods are utilized, that underage or forced labor are not used, and that a minimum cost is acquired regardless of market pressure. My ingredient suppliers have had direct buying relationships with ethical producers around the world for nearly 20 years. The buyers regularly visit their facilities, and have the products tested by credible third party laboratories. My main supplier has now purchased its own Gas Chromatograph Machine to set up a sophisticated laboratory on site enabling me to better protect and evaluate the quality.
