Q&A: Bottles, Stirring, Detoxifying...

Here are some questions I answered for a retailer:

-what is the lining of the aluminum bottle made of?
It is an inert ceramic resin according to my supplier. Aluminum itself is inert in relation to essential oils and is the safest container for these. stainless steel can leach/degrade in the presence of some essential oils. Glass is also inert, but aluminum keeps products cooler and so is most protective. It is also lightweight and unbreakable - desirable qualities for products carried around or kept in the bath & shower areas.

-do the other creams settle out like the deodorant and need stirring?
No, only the deodorant settles. The 30ml size comes with a stir stick.
Some products come with an instruction to shake them if these contain essential oils in waterier bases.

-is there a way to tell if the deodorant is helping you detox?
The first two weeks of use, a person typically notices feeling that they are sweating more. The clary sage in synergy works to balance perspiration. Users with blocked lymph nodes will notice these reducing in size and discomfort within the first few weeks.

-have you ever considered making a soothing aftershave?
I have made a custom one. I can make whatever you feel your customers want. (and then I did!!! Two, in fact!)

-is the spf in the lotions still 15 after it's been watered down (sort of speak) with the other ingredients?
SPF is an extremely inaccurate measurement and needs to be revised by the Powers That Be. All that I can claim is that an ingredient is SPF 15 when it is in a concentration of 7-20%. Doubling the amount does not double the effectiveness. Commercial sunscreens rated at SPF 30 are only 1.3% more effective in trials than SPF 15. My SPF 28 Sun Protection cream with zinc is possibly the only really SPF 28 formula.

Thanks for your questions!
