What is aromatherapy? What are essential oils and and flower waters and how are they made? What do essential oils do for us mentally, emotionally and physically, and how do we know this traditionally and scientifically?

In this hands on workshop, the ancient art of perfumery meets the contemporary science of aromatherapy. We'll examine a 2000 year old still invented by an Egyptian mathematician named Maria. We'll sample dozens of essential oils and discover why and how they work. We'll each go home with a 10ml customized blend of essential oils, created on the principles of ancient perfumery using the information of contemporary science - a $20 value! There's no introductory workshop like this in the city! All materials, take home items, packaging, handouts and recipes are included.
