Why I Use 100% Post Consumer Waste Papers
Earth happy office practices are within reach!
According to the Earth Trends 2004 Environmental Defense Paper Calculator Tool, my (inexpensive) 100% post-consumer waste recycled office printer paper uses:
100% fewer tress
23% less energy to make
$1% less greenhouse gas emissions
16% less water used
Not surprisingly, I also save documents online and electronically rather than print, and use both sides of the paper when I can.
The (inexpensive) toilet paper I use and sell is also 100% post-consumer waste recycled:
* Made of 100% recycled fibres
* 100% deflected from landfill
* Whitened without chlorine bleach
* Double layer, double roll saves space in transport
* Wrapped in paper, not plastic!
My new 2"x4"labels are:
* 100% recycled paper and package
* package is 35% post consumer waste
* label paper is made from 100% post consumer waste
* processed without chlorine
* printed using soy and vegetable based inks
