This workshop will take you on a journey through drumming & sound into the silence and depth of meditation. Experience firsthand how rhythm can gently ease you into a restful, meditative state, even if you are a beginner drummer or meditator.
We will learn & practice specific rhythms which are helpful for meditation, mantra (simple, ancient chants), walking & sitting meditation, partner work, sensory awareness, listening, creating & receiving meditative sound. You will have the opportunity for deep rejuvenation & peace, emerging from the day calm, joyful, & ready to better face the ups and downs of daily life.
This retreat will take place on the lovely grounds of Shaw Percussion, which includes a pool (bring a swimsuit!), a wonderful drum & percussion shop, a beautiful sunny back deck, a big lawn for frisbee, and a firepit—stay later & we might have a jam around the fire, and a late-night moon meditation!

Falls Drum Camp will happen at a beautiful piece of land we call "The Falls," so named because of its natural Zen garden-style, 50-foot waterfall cascading into a very swimmable river. The Falls is located 3 hrs north of Toronto and 45 mins east of Parry Sound. Accommodation will be bring-your-own-tent & camping gear. Flush toilets & running water are available. Food will be shared—participants will be divided into cooking groups prior to the event.
Weekend cost is $230.
