Here's a little info about Skillseed:
We promote skillsharing for social change. To this end, we develop and support skillsharing-based activities that improve grassroots community capacity, ecological stewardship, and health empowerment. Part of our work is to connect people who know life-sustaining skills with people who want to learn those skills. We have reached out to individuals and companies who make personal care products through our model Skillseed Enterprise called “Make it Natural”, which focuses on DIY personal care. We host workshops and other events and invite facilitators to share their skills and knowledge, keeping prices accessible for audiences whenever possible.
Our goal at Make it Natural is “Soap Sovereignty for South Ontario”, which means the decommodification of personal care and the restoration of the foundation that supports household-scale production. If this resonates with you, then I would love to connect. There are more ways we intend on supporting entrepreneurs, though as I mentioned we are an early start-up so we are still figuring out our model.
