Abalone shells are a practical and beautiful vessel to use for smudging.
To use the abalone for smudging, simply place a small amount of loose white sage in the shell (a small handfull is enough). Light the sage, then blow the flame out so that the burning sage continues to smoke. Direct the sacred smoke for purification around you, others, or a physical space.
The abalone shells can also be used as a holder for Smudge Sticks.
