Aristotelia chilensis, known as maqui or Chilean wineberry, Cold Pressed from the seeds in Chile. A powerful antioxidant, UV-protector and free-radical neutralizer, maqui berry is rich in Linoleic acid (up to 53%) it is anti-inflammatory and regenerative. High in vitamins A, B, C and E. Abundant in essential fatty acids such as Linoleic (Omega-6) and the rare Ellagic Acid.

Description: The small purple berries are very rich in anthocyanins, which are purple pigments with high antioxidant activity. The berries are traditionally used by the Mapuche people of southern Chile and Argentina for their medicinal properties.

Characteristics: Similar in colour to hemp seed oil, Maqui Berry oil is dark yellowish green in colour.

The scent of Maqui Berry oil is a very faint slightly sweet berry aroma, with a sublet hint of freshly cut grass.
