What is perfumery?
What are perfume oils and and flower waters and how are they made?
What do perfumes do for us mentally, emotionally and physically, and how do we know this traditionally and scientifically?
In this hands on workshop, the ancient art of perfumery meets the contemporary science of aromatherapy. We'll sample dozens of essential oils and discover why and how they work. Best of all, you'll create an Individual Prescription for yourself in accordance with the system of Marguerite Maury, the late Austrian bio chemist and Mother of Wholistic Aromatherapy.
At this comprehensive workshop you'll learn about:
• The history of perfumery and the contemporary science of scent and essential oils
• The 11 chemical groups in essential oils and what these do
• Plant morphology aka The Doctrine of Plant Signatures
• The principles of perfumery and the secrets of "Notes"
You'll create and go home with a customized:
• Vanilla based oil perfume
• Room deodorizer
• Alcohol based perfume spray
• Eaux de toilette
• After shave lotion/cologne
• Synergistic 100% essential oil blend for your total health and happiness based on your
PLUS YOUR Individual Prescription for use on a pendant, with a perfume base, in a vaporizer or diffuser - anywhere and everywhere you want!
You'll go home with 6 custom products created on the principles of ancient perfumery using the information of contemporary science, plus an Individual Prescription for yourself - a $200 value!
