Although the FemCap comes with directions and you can watch a readily available video on this site or You Tube, some users have trouble inserting or removing the Fem Cap at first.
If you are having trouble, please read the advice below and feel free to contact me 647 827 6968 or AnarresHealth@gmail.com .
Don't give up - please contact me! There are other ways of removing your Fem Cap aside from pulling on the strap (and maybe your cervix if the cap is suctioned on!) Many women suggest hooking a finger under the brim and dragging the cap out without using the removal strap. In fact, this is how Dr Shihata originally designed the Fem Cap to be removed.
Here is advice from a Fem Cap user:
I usually pull mine out by the brim too. First you have to relax, which can be hard when you are like OMG it's not coming out! Then you squat down and bear down (push like you are doing #2) and when you bear down it brings your cervix closer to the vaginal opening. Once you get the FemCap closer down you can get a better grip on the handle or the brim. Then once you can get a hold of the brim or handle you pull and twist at the same time. I think it's pretty hard to do damage to your FemCap as it's pretty flexible. Give that a try...
To insert, I squat all the way down (like a frog). I think it is best to reach up and feel your cervix to see where you're aiming at. Since the cervix moves around it will be different depending on the time of month. Then, I squeeze it between the fingers and pop it in. Then, I push it along the vagina until I reach the end. Then, I have to maneuver it up and over the cervix. I usually press down for 10 seconds to try to make sure it is on good. Sometimes, I can feel my cervix underneath a little sore from the pressure. You might also feel around to make sure the cervix isn't peeking around the side right next your FemCap!
Anyways, hope that helps! Like I said I had one awful time that second time I tried! Now, it is a lot easier! Although depending on the time of month, there are days that it is stranger than others.

Planned Parenthood provides these instructions:
With a little practice, the cervical cap is easy to use.
INSERTING A CERVICAL CAP
Wash your hands with soap and water.
Put one-quarter teaspoon of spermicide in the dome of the cervical cap and spread a thin layer on the brim.
Put one-half teaspoon in the folded area between the brim and the dome.
Find a comfortable position — stand with one foot on a chair, sit on the edge of a chair, lie down, or squat.
Put your index and middle fingers in your vagina to locate your cervix. That way, you will know where to place the cap.
Separate the labia with one hand and squeeze the rim of the cap together with the other hand. Slide the cervical cap dome-side down into the vagina, with the long brim entering first.
Push down toward the anus and then up and onto the cervix. Make sure the cervix is completely covered. (It is easier to insert before you are sexually aroused.)
How long do I leave the cervical cap in? What if I have sex again?
With each act of intercourse, check that the cervical cap is still covering the cervix. You can leave the cap in place and insert more spermicide deep into your vagina.
The cervical cap must stay in place six hours after the last intercourse.
Do not leave the cervical cap in place for more than 48 hours.
REMOVING A CERVICAL CAP
Wash your hands with soap and water.
Squat down. Grip the removal strap and rotate the cervical cap. Push on the dome with your finger to break the suction.
Hook your finger under the removal strap and pull the cap out.
