Camellia sinensis Standardization: Min 10% Polyphenols. Green Tea Extract is used internationally in cosmetics, as it is a rich source of antioxidants such as Vitamin C and Vitamin E. Gentle enough for sensitive or blemish-prone skin, it helps calm visible redness, balance excess oil, and minimize the look of pores. Over time, its use supports collagen, elasticity, and a firmer, more radiant complexion.
Recommended Uses:
* HAIR CARE Incorporate into shampoos, conditioners, or scalp treatments at 0.5–2% to help maintain scalp comfort and leave hair feeling soft, smooth, and healthy.
* SKINCARE, MOISTURIZERS: Use Green Tea Botanical Extract at 0.5–2% in facial creams, serums, or moisturizers to deliver antioxidant-rich care that helps soothe and revitalize the skin’s appearance.
* SKINCARE, CLEANSERS: Add Green Tea Botanical Extract to facial cleansers, masks, or toners at 0.5–2% for a refreshing cleanse that helps reduce visible redness and leaves skin looking balanced.
* The upper limit for Camellia sinensis leaf extracts in rinse-off cosmetic formulations is 1.0% to ensure it remains completely non-sensitizing, according to data from the Cosmetic Ingredient Review (CIR) Expert Panel.
* DRY CLAY MASK: For a dry, waterless clay powder mask to be wet immediately before use, observe a standard window of 0.5% to 2% for uniform, lab-verified botanical extracts in order to prevent irritation. For more safety info, go here.
* TINCTURE 2.5 grams makes 100mL of tincture or glycerite
* Add Green Tea Botanical Extract to the water phase during the cool-down stage (ideally below 40–50°C / 104–122°F) to preserve the integrity of its antioxidant and vitamin content.
* Suggested usage rate is 0.5–2% in finished cosmetic products.

Green Tea Extract is hailed in the natural skincare industry for its skin-beneficial properties. It is said to help reduce the signs of ageing and reduce the appearance of age spots caused by environmental factors. The active constituents in Green Tea are the Catechin - Polyphenols. Green Tea catechins are known to be potent antioxidants.
Note: Due to its natural pigments and Vitamin C content, this extract may impart a slight tint to formulations and could show some colour change over time, especially if exposed to light or air.
Solubility: Soluble in water; forms a slightly cloudy solution
Appearance: Brownish to yellow fine, free-flowing powder. CAUTION: Green tea polyphenols are highly susceptible to oxidation. If your usage rate exceeds 2% in a pre-hydrated (wet) clay mask, the formulation is highly likely to undergo intense yellowing or turn a deep brown colour within a matter of days or weeks.
Aroma: Herbaceous vegetal aroma, characteristic of green tea.
