Why choose to store water in #copper?
When #water is stored in a copper vessel or bottle, for eight hours more, copper releases some of its ions in the water, through a process called the #Oligodynamic effect. Copper is known to have #antimicrobial, #anti-inflammatory, #anti-carcinogenic and #antioxidant properties.
IMPORTANT: PRIME BEFORE USE!
Clean your copper vessel with lemon juice, tamarind, citric acid and/or tartaric acid before using. This washes off any oxidation. Then fill with water, leave overnight, and discard the water the next day.
* Priming prevents stomachache from ingesting too much oxidized copper.
* Drinking too much copper water can lead to diarrhea, stomach cramps, and vomiting. Limit the use of copper water to three cups a day, or as much as is comfortable for you.
* Water is effectively sanitized after 8 hours, but do not leave the same water in copper for more than a day!

Signs of possible copper deficiency include anemia, low body temperature, bone fractures and osteoporosis, low white blood cell count, irregular heartbeat, loss of pigment from the skin, and thyroid problems. People who regularly consume high doses of zinc from supplements or use excessive amounts of zinc-containing denture creams can develop copper deficiency because zinc can inhibit copper absorption.
