Spruce Hemlock Canadian Essential Oil

Aroma: A top note with a medium aroma, spruce hemlock essential oil has a pleasant balsamic scent that is sweet with light fruity notes.

Description: Commonly referred to as hemlock, this is a large evergreen tree that grows up to 50 meters tall. It produces small brown cones and has an estimated life span of 1,200 years. Spruce hemlock is similar to white spruce. In First Nations tradition, the branches of hemlock are heated in water baths and sweat lodges. A type of beer
is made boiling the twigs and cones in maple syrup.

Main Constituents:
l-Bornyl acetate: 16.4-22.77%
Alpha-pinene: 16 - 24%
Camphene: 15 - 20%

Blends With: Pine, Cedarwood, Galbanum, Benzoin, Lavender and Rosemary.

Cautions: Dilute before use; for external use only. May cause skin irritation in some individuals; a skin test is recommended prior to use. Contact with eyes should be avoided.
