This workshop by request combines my Lotions, Potions and Creams workshop, where we'll make shea butter and cocoa butter lotion, SPF 15, from scratch, with my Safe Sun Protection Cream with zinc SPF 30 Workshop. You'll not only learn how to make a basic white lotion from scratch, but also how to protect yourself and your loved ones, no matter how young, from harmful sun rays, while still making and storing essential vitamine D.

You'll leave with 150ml of shea lotion, 150ml of cocoa butter lotion and a 120ml jar of sun protection cream - a $38 value!!!

Make Lotions, Potions and Creams

Dread dry, itchy skin? The obnoxious fragrances and unreadable ingredients of moisturizing lotions? Want to moisturize and nourish your skin without feeling like you've been dunked in a tank of lard? Come learn to make your own lotions, for yourself, your family, and as gifts. We'll use simple, natural, vegan ingredients like wax and flower waters. You'll chose enhancing ingredients like essential oils, cocoa butter, shea butter, and calendula oil to meet individual skin needs. You'll preserve with essential oils and grapefruit seed extract instead of formaldehyde (aka DMDM Hydantoin) and other harmful ingredients. You'll come away with lotion you've made, and skills that can serve you for a lifetime for a fraction of the cost of a commercial moisturizer!

Stop Sunburn Non Toxically

What's worse? The sun, or the toxins in the sunscreens? It's not an either/or situation. Regular exposure to the sun lets your skin adapt to defend itself against harmful rays, all the while making vitamin D. So tanning is a healthy response, and those who get regular exposure to the sun lower their skin cancer risk. Burning is absolutely not healthy – it clearly increases your risk of skin cancer. So what to do? You'll learn everything you need to know to stay safe and select safe products for you and your loved ones.
