Why I Accept But Don't Prefer Cash

I don't prefer cash because:
* It means that before you've paid, I need to make your products and pack your order, do all the admin, and you may not come pick up or pay for your order. Abandoned unpaid orders used to happen monthly, and since encouraging etransfer, it only happens a few times a year.
* It means I have to be here and answer the door and not be in my studio, or be making things where my hands must stay sanitized
* and because I'm often asked to make change or am shortchanged. Making change for me means going back to my apartment for my piggy bank, coming out to make change, then returning my piggy bank. It's extra effort.
* and because I need to do extra admin for cash versus etransfer. My credit union records back up an etransfer payment explicitly, whereas I have to add a cash payment manually to my records.
* and because I need to deposit the cash in the bank account. Until I make it to my credit union in person with cash, the money I need to pay my business expenses is missing.
If you do need to pay in cash, please put exact change
in a sealed envelope and place it in the mailbox to the LEFT of the front door. Please ring the doorbell when you arrive so I can retrieve the money ASAP. Porch theft is now common, and my phone and ID and credit cards etc were stolen from my porch this past week.
Thanks, Tracey
