OVERVIEW
Cinnamon is extracted from the bark of the Cinnamomum species of evergreen trees found in SE Asia. Cinnamon was highly prized in ancient civilizations and was used to treat respiratory and digestive conditions. Today, it is commonly used as an everyday spice.
One of cinnamon's most promising benefits may be its ability to control glucose in the control of diabetes.
