Anyone who has ever confronted sexual trauma in their life knows that learning different grounding techniques is necessary. Dissociation from our bodies or from the world around us is an extremely common symptom of sexual trauma, and for good reason. Dissociation is a means of short-term self-preservation and survival.

Unfortunately, for some, the techniques used to come back into the body or to stay in the world are as harmful as the initial abuse itself. Grounding can look like alcoholism, sex addiction, drug-abuse, co-dependency in relationships, cutting, and the list goes on.

Aromatherapy offers a safe and healing way to ground the mind and body and stay in the world. Whether it's simply appreciating the beautiful fragrance of your favourite flower and sitting with its scent for a while, or creating a personalized blend for your individual needs.

Aromatherapy blends for Sexual Trauma include a 2 hr consultation to give individuals the time and space needed to create a detailed and accurate blend. We will focus on the present and the experiences that are limiting your enjoyment and comfort. You will never be asked to answer any questions you are uncomfortable with, and you will not be required to go into your experiences and history in detail, unless you feel this would be of help to your healing process. Consultations are primarily client-driven. The only questions asked will be those necessary to compose or choose a helpful aromatherapy blend.

***Consultations can take place by video conference, telephone, or in person in #Bloorcourt #Toronto. Essential oil blends, balms, creams, or herbal remedies can be shipped at an additional cost or picked up.

All personal consultations are $120 for two hours and 100% confidential. This fee includes the cost of a customized blend. If blends need to be shipped, the cost will be added.
