Agonis fragrans from the Myrtaceae family, steam-distilled from the leaves and twigs of the shrub in Australia. This rare essential oil is extracted from the flowering tops of plants that grow in one place in the world!

Aroma and Colour: A colourless to pale yellow essential oil with a pleasantly sweet, floral and herbaceous odour.

About the shrub: Fragonia is in the same Myrtaceae family as nutmeg, mace, Jamaican pepper, clove, myrtle, tea tree, and eucalyptus! It can grow up to approximately 2 meters tall, flowering between February and May with delicate white blossoms. This plant thrives in the wetlands of southwest Western Australia, where it typically grows in sandy or peaty soils.

Common Uses: On a physical level, Fragonia oil possesses strong anti-infectious properties comparable to those of tea tree oil, along with notable anti-inflammatory effects. It is particularly valued for supporting the female reproductive system and can aid in restoring hormonal balance.
