Hello Anarres Natural Health,

I am writing on behalf of Our Horizon, a national not-for-profit organization that is addressing climate change in a globally unprecedented way. Our organization wants to put warning labels on gas pump nozzles just like those on cigarette packages to help consumer connect the dots on climate change. The idea links cause with effect right at the point of purchase. It would cause a shift in public consciousness to allow for meaningful action on climate change. Municipalities can use their licensing powers to pass a by-law requiring this of gasoline retailers.

A Cross-Canada Tour Fundraiser

We are starting a cross-Canada tour in September where we'll be presenting this idea to citizens coast-to-coast and will be launching a crowd fund on Thursday, July 25th to help raise money for the tour. The event will be hosted at the Creatures Creating Art Gallery, 822 Dundas St West, Toronto and will start at 7:30pm. We would like to personally extend an invitation to this event to you and your business, the full details of which can be seen here. We are also inviting your environmentally-minded business to donate an item to our silent auction at this event in support.

Already, we've received endorsements from the David Suzuki Foundation, Citizens Climate Lobby Canada, the Toronto chapter of 350.org, Clean Air Partnership, Project Neutral and many more. You can view our endorsements page here. We've also been featured in radio interviews and news articles across the country, and are starting to reach international press. Our strategy is to have communities in Canada pass our by-law and then we'll begin to take it global.

The idea has the potential to really move public sentiment around climate change, acting as a catalyst towards other solutions. It will encourage all of humanity to honestly face what we're up against with climate change, and move forward together. You can view the attached one-page PDF for more information on our campaign.

Any help in supporting our cause would be much appreciated.
Sincerely,

Ben McNamee
