What are the differences between Smart Organic Multicooker and 2-in-1 Rice 'N' Slow Cooker?

Smart Organic Multicookers (oval shaped models) have
(1) delay timer with
(2) a more precise programmed timer. Slow cooking can be programmed from 10 minutes up to 5 hours with 10-minute increment,
(3) have sweet rice and
(4) reheat functions
2-in-1 Rice 'N' Slow Cookers(round shaped models) (1) Slow cooking can be programmed from 30 minutes up to 12 hours with 30 minutes increment timer without delay timer. Delay timer allows you to program the cooker to start at any time.

Clay Pot (alone)

The clay pot is not covered by the warranty because how long it lasts depends on how well you take care of it. Any clay pot is susceptible to breaking if dropped on a hard surface and cracking with sudden changes in temperature, such as by adding cold water or frozen food to the crock when hot. Please read the enclosed materials to avoid the inconvenience and expense of a cracked pot!

Replace a broken clay pot or buy one for oven use.

⅓ cup olive oil
2 medium onions, sliced
2 tablespoons Hungarian sweet paprika
2 teaspoons salt
½ teaspoon ground black pepper
3 pounds beef stew meat, cut into 1 1/2 inch cubes
1 cup stewed tomato or marinara sauce
1 ½ cups water or broth
1 clove garlic, minced
1 teaspoon salt


1. Heat oil in a saucepan over medium heat. Cook onions in oil until soft, stirring frequently. Remove onions and set aside.
2. In a medium bowl, combine paprika, 2 teaspoons salt and pepper. Coat beef cubes in the spice mixture, and cook in onion pot until brown on all sides. Add garlic and the remaining 1 teaspoon salt. Transfer to your clay pot.
3. Add water or bone broth. Set on stew to cook for 2 hours, or until meat is tender.

Chilli is a hotly debated subject, with its own body of myth and folklore. The only thing certain about the origins of chilli is that it did not originate in Mexico. It is generally thought, by most historians, that the earliest versions of chilli were made by the very poorest people around San Antonio, Texas.


1 1/2 pounds lean ground beef or half pork/half beef
3.5 cups cooked black beans or beans to your choice, drained
3-4 cups tomatoes, cut up
2 tablespoons tomato paste 1 chopped celery rib
1 chopped medium onion
4 cloves of garlic, chopped coarsely 1 chopped green or red bell pepper 1 cup fresh, frozen or canned corn
2 jalapeno peppers, chopped and deseeded (or more if you like it hot)
1/2 tablespoon brown sugar 1 bay leaf
1 tablespoon chilli powder
2 to 3 teaspoons ground cumin 1 teaspoon dried leaf oregano 1 teaspoon paprika powder
Freshly ground pepper and salt to taste Chopped green onions (for garnish)
4 cups of broth or water

In skillet brown ground beef and transfer to your clay pot.
In VitaClay pot, add all ingredients and water or broth.
Cover and Set on Slow Cooking-Stew to cook for about 1 or 2 hours.
Remove bay leaf and stir before serving.
Serve with some sour cream, chilli cornbread, polenta or over rice.
Makes 6 servings.

Health Note:

Sweet bell peppers are on the market all year in good supply, but they are somewhat more plentiful in the summer months.

Excellent source of vitamin C and a good source of vitamin A and B.Evidence has shown that peppers may have some beneficial properties. Capsaicin in chilli peppers, the predominant capsaicin, has been found to work as an anticoagulant, thus possibly helping prevent heart attacks or strokes caused by a blood clot.

Small amounts of capsaicin can produce numbing of the skin and have an anti-inflammatory effect.
