I've always worked on Canada Day to protest celebrating Canada's ongoing colonialism. I'm open to your suggestion as to how to "show up" at this Gathering. I'm thinking of offering my buttons, magnets and stickers, and possibly giving out seeds, by donation, and maybe running an Ask Me Anything Anarres booth. I've been learning a lot about invasive and non native species, "weeds" and indigenous plants. As always, I'm very concerned with the lands and waters that all of Life, including us, depends on, and I know that indigenous peoples are on the front lines Defending Land and Protecting Water.

Grab your friends, wear your orange shirt and join us to celebrate Indigenous resistance to the new wave of colonialism launched by Prime Minister Banker Daddy’s Bill C-5, Building Canada Act.

Dozens of projects have been fast-tracked, and dozens of communities have been impacted by this legislation that overrides environmental, Indigenous, and labour rights across the country. It is a flood of resource colonialism.
